The Bedford is putting on the tartan and celebrating Scotland’s favourite poet this January. Dust off your dancing shoes and join us for a feast.

Doors open at 6pm for the performances starting at 6.30pm. Live Canon will showcase Rabbie Burns’ best works including renditions of his finest poems and songs. They will also perform traditional Burns Night speeches including Selkirk Grace and Address to a Haggis.

The Bedford will provide a scottish feast. A scotch broth to start followed by a traditional Burns supper of haggis and clapshot. Later in the evening cranachan will be served for a little pick me up to keep you dancing. A dram to toast the Scottish bard included for all attendees.

Fiddle Paradiddle will take you to the floor from around 9.15pm. Fling your partners round the ballroom dance floor as London’s wildest ceilidh band bring ceilidh dancing to Balham! Our expert caller goes through all the steps, and the house ceilidh band, Fiddle Paradiddle brings the dance-floor alive with their energetic nu-folk sound. They play all the classic ceilidh dances, as well as throw in a few more adventurous ones to keep the dance floor buzzing!

So come along to The Bedford Pub, and enjoy a night to remember. Make new friends and celebrate with old ones.
